Allegany Driving School is proud to serve the Western Maryland Region. We encourage you to visit one of our many locations or contact our office to enquire about our services for both the new driver in the family and the experienced driver in need of driving services. We are a full service driving school. Allegany Driving School has provided quality driver safety programs across the State of Maryland since 1997. The school was originally founded in Cumberland Maryland and has evolved into a multi-county operation responsible for training nearly 4000 new drivers each year with more than 40 licensed, professional instructors. Allegany Driving School is operated by Lionel Baker and Jim Fraser. Both Fraser and Baker spend their work week instructing students in the classroom as well as in the vehicle in addition to their administrative duties that come with business ownership. Mr. Fraser is additionally one of the few instructors in Maryland that is certified to offer instructor certification classes. Convenient, Dependable, Professional The following is a list of courses and services offered by Allegany Driving School. Please call for further information regarding the availability of the service as well as cost and scheduling issues. Driver Education Course Driver Improvement Program Point System Conference Point System Conference Driver Improvement Program New Instructor Certification Course Hearing Impaired Course (See driver eduation schedule) Hand Controls and Left Foot Accelerator Learners Permit Preparation and Transportation Driver License Preparation and Vehicle Use Additional Driving Instruction and Practice When Will I Receive My Certificate? Certificates are mailed out immediately following your completion in most cases. It is best to allow 5 to 10 business days. We request that you not schedule a driving examination with MVA until you receive the certificate and check it for accuracy.
